Below is an example of comparison between different number of cameras used during production.   As a rule of thumb, the more cameras the better.  More cameras not only automatically create a backup but also give you a better overall view of different angle.  Keep in mind also that ADA Video uses at least two operators throughout the production.  Having a camera sitting on a tripod doesn't do much good either, read more here...
